ABOUT
MESTRE XUXO is a Brazilian movement artist, teacher, and musician who has dedicated his life to inspiring people through the transformative power of movement. With over 144 countries visited, he has spent decades teaching, learning, and connecting with communities around the world, helping people rediscover their purpose, their creativity, and their shared humanity.
CAPOEIRA
Mestre Xuxo’s journey began at the age of 2, training under the guidance of his father - Mestre Sampaio - in Brazil. His early years were filled with long, intense hours of practice, where discipline and resilience became second nature. Through Capoeira, he not only developed his foundation in movement but also learned the values of respect, perseverance and connection. Capoeira remains at the core of his work, a cultural art form that combines fight, dance, rhythm, and expression.
MOVEMENT
From Capoeira, Mestre Xuxo expanded into Break Dance, Afro Dance and Contemporary Dance. These experiences deepened his understanding of how diverse movement practices can support human needs for joy, balance, and connection. His philosophy is that movement reconnects us with the freedom of childhood — reminding us of the games, playfulness, and openness we once shared on the playground.
This vision led him to create Movement Connection, a global project that brings together artists and communities to unite different movement modalities into a unique form of expression. For Mestre Xuxo, combining arts opens new dimensions, broadens perspectives, and creates a “river of knowledge” that flows between people and cultures.
MUSIC
As a Music Artist Xuxo Na Voz blends Capoeira music, hip hop, and collaborations with other artists. His voice is not only a tool for art but also a way to amplify those who have no platform to be heard. Through his music, he seeks to cross borders, break barriers, and give rhythm to the stories of resilience and hope from around the world.
Philosophy
“Independent of the modality, movement and music can help you see life differently. But when you combine arts together, you open new dimensions and discover new worlds. It’s not just about improving skills — it’s about opening your mind, learning from everyone, and respecting every journey.” – Mestre Xuxo

Movement can change people
and people can change the world!
